Meet Our Incoming Riders
We are excited to announce the seven new riders joining the squad for 2025, combining a mix of youth and experience to compliment the strength of the eight returning riders from the 2024 team.
Joining for 2025, we have: Lizzie Hermolle, Aoife O’Brien, Ruby Oakes, Ellie Parry, Libby Smithson, Julia van Bokhoven and Lizi Brooke. Find out more about them below.
Lizzie Hermolle
Lizzie has been a standout rider in the UK domestic scene this year, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come for her in 2025. Having started cycling during lockdown and finishing 4th in the Mallorca 312 soon after, she was encouraged to give road racing a try. She started racing in 2023, with 2024 being her first full season. She performed consistently well throughout 2024, mostly in her favourite hilly races! This included: 5th at Lancaster GP, 6th at Ryedale GP and a breakthrough performance at the National Road Championships, where she finished 13th. We’re confident that with the support of the team, she’ll be up on the podium in 2025.
She’s determined to improve her race craft in 2025, alongside obtaining some strong UCI results. Lizzie describes herself as ‘anti-social but social’, and enjoys a good bit of banter (there’s a lot of that within the team!). Outside of cycling, Lizzie loves to watch sports and walk her dog.
When we asked Lizzie why she wanted to join the team, she said: “I love the teamwork I saw in races during 2024. DAS - Hutchinson are the best UK team so why wouldn’t you want to join them?”
Welcome Lizzie, we’re super excited to have you on board for the upcoming season.

Aoife O’Brien
Aoife is 20, from Mullingar in Ireland. Her older sister, Caoimhe, rode for the team this year before signing a pro contract for 2025. We’re delighted to welcome Aoife on board.
Aoife raced mainly in Belgium in 2024, with no fewer than 20 top 10 results, including 2nd U23 at the Irish National Road Championships. She also finished 11th in the GP Beveren (UCI 1.2) and was selected to race the UCI World Road Championships in Zurich. Aoife is more than ready for a full season of UCI racing, and we’re excited to support her development and see her get the wins we know she’s capable of.
She’s excited to race a packed calendar in 2025, and ready to get stuck into as many UCI races as possible. She’s also looking forward to getting to know her new teammates and working together to achieve shared goals. She began cycling aged 10, and has raced through the youth and junior ranks and will now be entering her final year as an U23. She’d love to turn professional one day, but thinks about the journey more than the final destination so thinks as much about the lessons she’s learning, people she’s meeting and memories that she’s making as she does about the end goal.
She’s especially looking forward to getting stuck into some stage racing with the team, as she’s mainly done one-day races. She describes herself as extroverted, and always has something to say! When asked what attracted her most to DAS - Hutchinson, she said: “My sister Caoimhe really enjoyed racing with the team and during a stint of kermesses racing in the summer I got to meet a good few of the girls and the staff who were all lovely and worked well together in a low stress and enjoyable environment which I thought would really work well for me.”
Welcome, we can’t wait to see what 2025 brings for Aoife and the team!

Ruby Oakes
Having just turned 18, Ruby will be the youngest member of the 2025 squad, fresh from the junior ranks. She’s no stranger to the UK scene, with some great results in the Elite National Road Series (including 11th at both Lancaster GP and Ryedale GP, as well as 12th at Lincoln GP). She also had standout performances in some of the biggest junior races, notably 6th at Gent-Wevelgem and 3rd in both the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games RR and TT. She finished 8th overall at the Ràs na mBan in 2023, a result she’s very proud of.
Ruby is from the Isle of Man, and has been racing since she was 12, having been introduced to cycling by her dad. She cannot wait to step into the U23 ranks and is hoping to be selected to race lots of Elite European races alongside the National Road Series. She’s an ambitious young rider, with dreams of racing professionally in the Women’s World Tour. She describes herself as a funny person, so we’re sure she’ll fit straight into the team! Outside cycling, she loves going to the gym and walking her two cockapoos.
The teamwork and organisation of DAS - Hutchinson impressed Ruby, a key factor that attracted her to the team. She also says: “I tried beating them on my own, realised I couldn’t, so I joined them”. We love this, and can’t wait to have you alongside us for 2025.

Ellie Parry
22 year old Ellie joins us from one of the top U23 Development teams in Europe, Watersley R+D Team, where she’s spent the past three years. Living in New Zealand, she took a big step in moving across to Europe to race in 2022. She’s from the UK, so we’re welcoming her back ‘home’ into a British team for 2025. She started cycling aged 8, inspired by her dad and hasn’t looked back since. She quickly made her mark in Europe, winning the Brasschat Kermesse in 2022.
We saw Ellie racing at the Tour de Feminin (UCI 2.2) in May and were impressed with her strength and skill. She finished 16th on GC, and in the months following backed this up with a 4th place at the U23 National TT Championships and 14th at the Elite National Road Championships (5th U23). She’s a strong believer of enjoying the process, and is excited to learn and grow as a rider, as well as having fun and contributing to individual and team successes.
She describes herself as introverted, until you get to know her! Outside cycling, she loves to walk, finding peace through exploring the outdoors at a slower pace. She saw DAS - Hutchinson racing in 2024 and was impressed by the positive vibes within the team at races, as well as how well the team raced together. She sees a lot of potential for the team in 2025, we agree! We’re excited to have you on board.

Libby Smithson
Libby is 21, from Oxford. She loves racing in Belgium, particularly in kermesses and also loves a criterium race. After a tough year battling injury, she’s excited to race with her new teammates in 2025. In 2023, she finished a strong 6th at Sheffield GP, alongside a top 10 at Dudley GP. We’re excited to support Libby back to full fitness where we know there’s a lot of potential to fulfil. She’s incredibly motivated and ambitious, hoping to eventually turn professional, and would love to compete at the Olympic Games one day.
She describes herself as someone that can be both extroverted or introverted, depending on how she’s feeling. Outside cycling, she loves reading, walking and also making TikToks! She’s excited to be part of the team, with the way the team ride together, the vibes and the organisation all reasons she’s excited to join us for 2025.

Julia van Bokhoven
Julia is 23, from Tilburg, in The Netherlands. She joins us from VolkerWessels Pro Cycling Team, where she’s spent the past four years. She’s ready to embark on a new adventure, and can’t wait to get to know her new team. She started cycling aged 7, because her brother was also cycling. Her favourite race is Strade Bianche, her first ever World Tour Race, which she looks back on with a big smile. She’s ambitious, wanting to continue developing step by step, constantly challenging herself to get the most out of herself. She loves riding and racing her bike, so most importantly, she wants to have fun.
She’s returning to full fitness after a tough period of injury, battling Iliac artery endofibrosis, which required two surgeries. Thankfully, she’s now able to cycle pain free and race a full calendar, which we’re very excited to support her through. She recognises that its been a long journey, and hopes to return to a good competitive level in 2025. She enjoys climbing and is looking forward to developing further in the hillier races, alongside working together with the team to achieve some great results. Her past results speak for themselves, with a top 25 at Amstel Gold Race and a top 30 at Trofeo Alfredo Binda in 2021, showing just how talented Julia is. We know she’s more than capable of these results and more in her first full season back post-injury.
She describes herself as an ‘early bird’, loving slow and easy mornings. Outside cycling, she loves walking, writing and meeting up with friends. When asked why she saw DAS - Hutchinson as her ideal next step, she said: “When I saw the team at races, I saw a team that is highly motivated and always fights until the finish line, and does so with a lot of joy. For me, these are two key things I value in a team: wanting to get the most out of yourself while also having fun. Additionally, I had great conversations with the team, where I felt a lot of trust. The environment seems to be focused on positivity and development, aiming to improve step by step. I believe that suits me very well. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and I’m really looking forward to this new adventure!”

Lizi Brooke
Lizi is 35 and is based in London. She joins us after a year racing at UCI Continental level and specialises in gravel racing, e-racing and time trials. She also loves hilly road racing. She’s a former professional triathlete, making the switch to cycling in 2022. At the end of the 2024 season, she finished on the podium at Graean Cymru, part of the UCI Gravel World Series. We’re excited to see what’s to come for Lizi in the 2025 UCI Gravel World Series, which will be a key target for her. She’s also excited to get stuck into the National Road Series, where she’s looking to support the team in retaining the overall title for another year.
Outside cycling, Lizi enjoys dancing, teaching fitness classes and cooking. She admits that most time off the bike is spent around bikes, whether this is fitting bikes or coaching. We asked Lizi why she was excited to join the team for 2025. She says: ‘the girls are so welcoming and supportive, their tactics in racing are always great and they are all so strong. I see DAS-Hutchinson as the ideal place to develop my team skills and use my power to full potential to achieve team goals’.
We’re excited to see what Lizi can achieve on and off-road in 2025!
